The Staff of EMRC Mysore, led by Prof Sapna, Director EMRC, had an academic visit to Visweswaraya Technical University (VTU) Mysore Regional campus to get more insights on online learning and the present studio set up for online content creation.

We had fruitful discussions with Dr Hema Patil, Regional Director, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Mysuru regarding the online learning atmosphere at VTU that include Honors, Minors, Certification Course and Skill Enhancement Programs. Mrs Prakruthi Prabhakar, Special Officer at Visvesvaraya Technological University shed more light on enrollment and also gave a guided tour to the Online Proctered Examination Center, VTU,Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), she also gave tour of the video studios situated at VTU.

Dr. Sandhya P, Special Officer, VTU e-Learning Centre, explained us about the online platform they created and its working. They mentioned they would update and change the courses depending on the feedback on course.

EMRC Mysore Staff Visits VTU Mysuru for Insights on Online Learning

The staff of EMRC Mysore, led by Prof. Sapna, Director, EMRC, undertook an academic visit to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Mysuru Regional Campus to gain deeper insights into online learning and the current studio setup for online content creation.

During the visit, the team had engaging discussions with Dr. Hema Patil, Regional Director, VTU Mysuru, regarding the university’s online learning initiatives, including Honors, Minors, Certification Courses, and Skill Enhancement Programs.

Mrs. Prakruthi Prabhakar, Special Officer at VTU, provided valuable insights into the enrollment process and guided the team through the Online Proctored Examination Center and the Center for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). She also facilitated a tour of VTU’s video production studios.

Additionally, Dr. Sandhya P, Special Officer, VTU e-Learning Centre, explained the university’s online learning platform, detailing its functionality and how courses are periodically updated based on learner feedback.
