EMRC Mysore Hosts Workshop on AI for Educational Content Development

A one-day workshop titled "AI for Educational Content Development" was conducted at EMRC Mysore on 30th May 2025, aimed at equipping staff with the latest AI tools to enhance workflow and create impactful educational content.

The workshop was initiated by Professor Sapna, Director, EMRC, who welcomed the participants and the guest speaker. In her opening remarks, she stressed the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence into educational media production to improve efficiency and enhance content quality. She highlighted the need for media professionals to embrace AI-driven technologies to stay relevant in an evolving academic landscape.

The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Ravinandan B. B., AI trainer and Assistant Professor & Co-ordinator, School of Communication and Media Studies, St. Joseph’s University, Bangalore. Dr. Ravinandan conducted an insightful and hands-on session, introducing participants to cutting-edge AI platforms such as Google Advanced Search, ChatGPT’s Deep Research feature, Napkin AI, Eleven Labs for voice narration, and Markdown editors for scriptwriting. He also demonstrated how to create custom GPTs tailored to specific educational tasks.

The workshop was highly interactive and well-received, providing EMRC staff with practical knowledge and tools to boost productivity and creativity in educational content development.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mahesha, who appreciated Dr. Ravinandan for his engaging session and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
