10 November 2025: A group of students from Surana College, Bengaluru visited the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), University of Mysore, on an educational tour. The visit aimed to provide the students with exposure to media production practices and an understanding of the workflow involved in creating academic content.
The team was first taken through the EMRC Legacy Lounge, where they explored the centre’s rich history, achievements, and contributions to educational media over the years.
This was followed by a studio visit, during which Mr. Keerthi Kumar oriented the students on the technical aspects of lecture recording, detailing the processes, equipment, and standards followed at EMRC. Prof. Sapna, Director, EMRC, also interacted with the students and offered valuable insights into effective lecture recording techniques and studio-based educational content production.
The visit concluded with an interactive session, leaving the students with a deeper understanding of digital pedagogy and media-based learning resources.
