UGC Deputy Secretary Dr. Nikhil Kumar Pays Informal Visit to EMRC

11 November 2025: Dr. Nikhil Kumar, Deputy Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC), paid an unofficial visit to the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC) Mysore. He was warmly welcomed by Dr. Mahesha, who honoured him with a bouquet, peta, and shawl as a gesture of respect.

Addressing the EMRC staff, Dr. Nikhil Kumar enquired whether any hurdles or challenges were affecting the centre’s responsibilities in content production and the execution of MOOC-related activities. He also shared several positive updates regarding reforms and improvements expected in the near future, particularly after the signing of the forthcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

During his visit, he was taken on a guided tour of the EMRC Legacy Lounge. He later visited the television production studio, where he observed the technical setup and ongoing educational media activities.
