EMRC Mysore observed National Integration Day on Wednesday. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi, India’s first woman Prime Minister. The occasion highlighted her enduring legacy and contributions to strengthening national unity.

The programme aimed to promote unity, peace, love, and brotherhood, encouraging staff to reaffirm their commitment to harmony and collective progress.

As part of the observance, the staff gathered in the Director’s Chamber to pay tribute to National Integration and reaffirm their commitment to national unity. Mr. Lokesh recited the National Integration Oath, and the rest of the staff affirmed their commitment by repeating the pledge line by line. All staff members joined in reciting the National Integration Pledge, resolving to preserve and strengthen the nation's freedom and integrity, and uphold the rich diversity that binds India together.

National Integration Pledge:

“I solemnly pledge to work with dedication to preserve and strengthen the freedom and integrity of the nation.

I further affirm that I shall never resort to violence and that all differences and disputes relating to religion, language, region, or political or economic grievances should be settled through peaceful and constitutional means.”

This gave a renewed call to uphold the values of national integration, reflecting the vision for which Indira Gandhi is remembered.
