The 17th Board of Management (BoM) Meeting of the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), University of Mysore, was held under the chairmanship of Prof. N. K. Lokanath, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore. The meeting was attended by eminent academicians and administrators, including Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), New Delhi, who participated as the Ex Officio Member and Co-Chairperson; Dr. Nikhil Kumar, Deputy Secretary, University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, who attended the meeting online on behalf of Dr. Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Joint Secretary (IUC/MC), UGC, the Ex Officio Member; Prof. Manukonda Rabindranath, Centre for Media Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, who also participated online; Prof. M. K. Basaveswara Rao, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Krishna University, Machilipatnam; Prof. B. Eraiah, Department of Physics, Bangalore University; Prof. N. Nagaraja, Registrar, University of Mysore, who attended as the Ex Officio Member; and Dr. Ganta Ravi Kumar, Director (i/c), EMRC, University of Mysore, who served as the Member Secretary.
The meeting commenced with Dr. Ganta Ravi Kumar extending a warm welcome to the Chairman, distinguished Board members, and other dignitaries. During the meeting, Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas presented a Certificate of Appreciation to EMRC, University of Mysore, in recognition of its exemplary contribution to delivering high-quality MOOCs and promoting learner engagement in CEC MOOCs on the SWAYAM platform during the July–December 2025 semester. The Chairman, Prof. N. K. Lokanath, felicitated the newly inducted members of the Board and expressed his appreciation for the valuable services rendered by the outgoing members before the Board deliberated on the agenda items. The meeting concluded with the unveiling of the CEC Newsletter by the distinguished members of the Board.
