On February 27th, 2024, ASG Eye Hospital, located in Chamaraja Mohalla, Mysore, organized a free eye check-up event at the Educational Multimedia Research Center (EMRC), University of Mysore, Mysuru. Professor Sapna NS, the Director of EMRC Mysore,

extended a warm welcome to Dr. Pavan Joshi, Former Medical Director and Chief Eye Surgeon at Annapoorna Eye Hospital, Mysore. Addressing the attendees, Professor Sapna emphasized the importance of self-care, particularly in light of the demanding nature of work within the department.

She highlighted the significance of maintaining good health, considering the strenuous tasks involved. Dr. Pavan, speaking at the event, highlighted the growing concerns regarding eye health due to changes in lifestyle, especially increased screen time. He urged caution in the use of mobile phones to protect one's eyes. Following the formal inauguration, Professor Sapna distributed new identity cards to EMRC staff. Subsequently,

both EMRC and university staff took advantage of the free eye examinations provided.
